Position: USER SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST
Information Technology

Duties: Under the general direction of the User Support Services Manager, the User Support Services Specialist is responsible for end-user support for custom and microcomputer applications in a networked environment. Is also responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of computer equipment. The User Support Services Specialist is dedicated to the learning college concepts by developing programs and facilitating activities that provide student success and lifelong learning.

Educ/Experience: High school diploma (or G.E.D.), Associates Degree preferred; 1-3 years experience working in an end-user computing environment, and experience with PC and/or Macintosh microcomputers required. Novell LAN certification preferred.

Full/Part-Time: Full Time - Monday through Friday: 8:00a.m. -4:45p.m.

Salary: Minimum starting rate .67/hr.

Position: INTERNATIONAL STUDENT HOUSING SPECIALIST International Student Affairs

Duties: Under the supervision of the Director of International Student Affairs, this position is responsible for the recruitment, training and coordination of the International Host Home Program. Plans for and provides alternative housing assistance which includes but is not limited to: Apartment rental, hotel accomodations, moving, temporary living arrangements, out-of-country storage arrangements and other shared living education and support.

Educ/Experience: Bachelor's degree; minimum 1-3 years experience in student housing assistance, foreign student exchange, English language program or closely related international student program; demonstrated cross-cultural interest and sensitivity; ability to communicate with diverse students and community members; proven ability to plan, develop, implement and conduct programs and activities.

Full/Part-Time: Part-Time - 25-30 hrs/wk.

Salary: Minimum starting rate .88/hr.

Position: INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST International Student Affairs

Duties: Under the supervision of the Director of International Student Affairs, the International Student Support Specialist will assist in providing administrative services and conduct activities necessary for enrollment, orientation, advising, housing and socialization for international students. Will also provide support to the director in addressing college policies and procedures for international student registration, tuition, enrollment, transfer and various administrative activities necessary for compliance with Student and Exchange Visitor Information System and related student visa regulations.

Educ/Experience: Bachelor's degree; minimum 1-3 years professional work experience, preferably in education or social service agency; demonstrated interest or experience in cross-cultural, foreign student, or international affairs; sensitivity and understand of international students special needs; strong analytical, organizational and communication skills; understand, interpret and process complex legal and immigration concerns; must have demonstrated ability to plan and execute projects or program.s

Full/Part-Time: Full Time: -8:00a.m. -5:15p.m.

Salary: Administrative and Professional Staff Salary Grade 2, ,050/yr.

Duties: Provide a variety of academic advising services to assist college students with educational planning, uncluding individual and group advising sessions and presentations.

Educ/Experience: Bachelor's degree; excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills required; should have demonstrated ability to work with multicultural and linguistically diverse students. Individuals with fluency in more than one language are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with the community college is preferred.

Full/Part-Time: Temporary, Part-Time - 25-30 hrs/wk June-December, 2005

Salary: Minimum starting rate .91/hr.

Duities: Under direction, maintains all purchase records, obtains and secures product and price information, places orders, and provides clerical support needed to complete orders.

Qualifications: Must possess the ability to utilize a keyboard ato enter, retrieve, and manipulate data on a personal computer; proficient in word processing. Computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint as well as course work in purchasing are desirable.

Educ/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.); minimum 2 years related experience in a purchasing department, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associate's degree preferred.
